A/N: Three nights part 3 will be divided in three parts, because i got carried away while writing it.Â
Teen wolf
Characters: Derek Hale, Peter Hale, Boyd, Isaac, Erica, Scott and his pack, Deucalion and his pack & reader
Pairing: Â Derek Hale X Reader
Summary: When you finally think all the worst in the world is over and that you can live happily ever after with Derek something big is invading Beacon Hills. A pack made out of alphaâs looking for a ââTrue Alpha.ââ
There are some wolves fitting for that job and one of them is Scott. Even though they are after him Deucalion is determined to get you in their pack. A strong Beta who doesnât really need a pack would fit just right in after she kills her Alpha. But knowing better you refuse his offer. Only then he wants you even more. What will he be capable off to for fill his desires.
It has been weeks since I last had a nightmare. After our fight with Edgar I slept like a rose, it was as if a huge load fell from my shoulders. I didnât have to worry about my a pack anymore. The panic attacks that I before where now gone, everything was easier now.
Derek also got more rest and his temper went out for it. He was nice even to Stiles. Scott often came along with his pack even though he was not an alpha he was treated like one. A special case if you ask me. A hunterâs daughter and a human being. Scott did everything to protect the school and Beacon Hills just like us.
Isaac was offered a permanent spot on the couch because he had nowhere else to go to. Although he is in a good position here, I am terribly worried about him. He can sometimes be gone for days and doesnât say anything. I'm afraid he's in trouble, but if he doesnât tell me I cannot help him either. Derek has not fully understood it yet, he is not as sympathetic as I am.
Boyed and Erica are doing well they really found each other and I am still waking up next to the man of my dreams. We sometimes have our differences, but that has every couple.
Today we would have the day for ourselves, no teenagers who come to nag no uncles who just come to life from the death - that too is a story apart, apparently by the blood of a teenage girl from Scott's year brought him back to life. Anyway, today would be our first real date.
Derek had planned everything down to the last detail, he didnât want to say what we were going to do just that I had to wear convertible shoes and a dress that was not too tight. I myself was not so fond of the heels so that came out well and the dress was not a problem so much didnât I own.
The day began quietly on a lazy Thursday morning. I opened my eyes and watched the sunlight fall through the windows. After my surprise, the place next to me in bed was empty, Derek was up early and left a note for me as usual. "Iâm out for a run." I took the note and laughed. I placed it on my bedside table and got out of bed.
I quickly pulled one of Derek's T-shirts and went downstairs. I looked at the couch and saw that Isaac was sleeping peacefully. For a moment I was afraid that he wasnât there again and that I was looking at an empty couch.
As quietly as possible, I made my way to the kitchen for a cup of coffee. Nothing was better than a cup of fresh coffee in the early morning. The coffee was bubbling and taking his time in the meantime I made breakfast. Derek could come home any time and Isaac was probably almost awake so I made enough for everyone. Everyone could use a good breakfast so I decided to make a sandwich with lettuce, egg, tomato and more vegetables that we had in the cabbage cup.
The coffee was ready and the kitchen was filled with the delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I poured a bowl for myself and sat down on the kitchen island. The first gulps were taken and as I had predicted, Derek walked into the door. "Hey, babe, slept well?" He walked straight to me and gave me a kiss. "Is that one of my shirts?" He asked right after as he looked at my shirt. "Maybe." I said teasingly. He shook his head and took a sip of my coffee. ''Be right back and do not drink all the coffee.'' He pointed at me with a drawn eyebrow.
I stood up laughing and walked to the living room. Isaac was still asleep. For a moment I doubted whether I should wake him up but that was necessary. I walked softly to the couch and shook his shoulder gently. "Isaac, wake up." I added. He murmured something but didnât wake up. "Isaac, wake up." I said harder this time. He turned to me on the couch and opened his eyes sleepily. "What time is it?" His eyes were tired in his face and the bags under his eyes were clearly visible. Fear was to smell and that only worried me more. ''Half past nine. And isaac, what are you afraid of?"
He sat straight up and made room for me on the couch. I sat down beside him and looked at him anxiously. "You know you can tell me everything that bothers you, right?." He nodded and searched for the right words. "Something terrible is coming. Something that is so frightening that all the animals flee. I donât think we can stop this. They're coming." Displeased by what he told me I looked at him. "Isaac, who are they?" I asked in a soft tone. "I donât know." Tears formed in his eyes. "But they are coming." The tears that just formed were now falling down.
Footsteps could be heard on the stairs, Derek was standing behind the couch and had heard our conversation. "Who are coming, Isaac?" Derek said severely. Isaac shook his head and pulled his knees against his chest. I looked at Derek with a worried expression on my face. There was also a gleam of anxiety on his face. "Isaac, you're safe here, who's coming to Beacon Hills?" Just like the first time we met, I grabbed his hands. He looked at me with tears filled with tears. "The alphas." I didnât understand it and looked at Derek for answers, but he also lost track.
We left Isaac alone, I got the idea that we couldnât get anything out of him. I proposed to go for breakfast. The three of us were eating at the kitchen island. We discussed the plans for the rest of the day.
Derek had already informed Isaac that we were gone the night and that he would be alone in the building. He said that he didnât intend to leave the premises. He knew more than he let know and that bothered me.
I tried not to think too much about it and continue with my day. Somehow we had to try to get to Isaac to talk and find out what he knew. I could ask Derek to make a connection with his memories but didnât know if that would work at all.
After breakfast, I got dressed. After what Isaac had told me, I wanted to investigate. There were things that were not quite right. Why would the alphas come, what did that even mean? My first instinct was to go to the forest. If something came then they would come through the forest.
It was easy to do and a morning walk was always welcome. The moment I entered the forest there was nothing strange about it. I didnât smelled anything out of the ordinary, but after I went deeper into the forest, the more I could smell fear. The anxiety of beta's. I also smelled a smell that I could not place, it was a powerful smell as if someone of a higher rank had walked through the forest.
My walk ended at the school, apparently it was a break because almost everyone walked outside. I walked outside longer than I knew. I saw Scott and Stiles walking across the square and as if he were aware of it, he looked straight at me. "We have to talk." He whispered, knowing that I could hear him.
Without thinking about it, I walked over to him, he led me to a picnic bench. ''Have you seen Isaac lately?'' Was the first thing Scott asked as soon as we were seated. ''Yes, he is at home. Why?" I tilted my head, so many things were wrong. I was not his mother so when he said that he stayed home I didnât think about it that he had to go to school. "He hasnât been at school for two weeks and I havenât heard anything from Erica or Boyd for a long time." He looked at me from Stiles. "After the last messages, they did well, I received a message from Erica two days ago." I pulled my mobile and showed him the message.
Scott looked at it and showed it to Stiles. "Yeah, I donât trust it, it can be someone else." Stiles shook his head and handed back my phone. ''You have a point. I'm worried about Isaac, by the way. He's scared and I donât know why." I'm looked at the two boys. They looked at each other for a moment and got the idea that they knew something. "Something is coming. If it is not today then itâs tomorrow. Slightly bigger than us." Scott explained. It was similar to what Isaac said this morning. "Isaac said something about alphas. What does that mean?" I saw Scott thinking. "I could ask Deaton if he knows anything." I nodded even though I didnât know who that was. "Deaton is his boss at the vet." Stiles explained quickly. "Oh well, thank you." He winked quickly.
We discussed some things before the break was over. "Call me when you know something." I told Scott when the bell rang. He nodded and promised me he was going to do that. "I have to work tonight so Iâll call as soon as I know something." I nodded and then left the school.
I walked straight back home to tell Derek the new information. "Isaac is right. There's something going on, Scott almost exactly told the same thing." Derek walked in circles through the bedroom. ''What must we do? Isaac is not talking and I have no answers." I sat at the bed and looked at him. ''Scott is going to inquire with his boss in the hope that he knows something. In the meantime, we have other things to worry about." Derek stopped walking. "What do you mean?" He looked at me quizzically. ''Isaac, he should be in school and Erica and Boyd havenât been at school for weeks. Stiles doesnât trust the message I got from Erica a few days ago and now I think about it, so do I." Derek sat down beside me. "Do you think we should talk to him about it?" Derek looked at me defenselessly. He had no idea how to deal with this.
We decided to leave Isaac alone he had enough going on already. The wait was for Scott and the information he might have for us. I didnât want to spoil my afternoon by hopelessly sitting by the phone waiting for a phone call.
The evening progressed quickly by the way. We almost forgot our date. I quickly changed clothes and said my goodbyes to Isaac. Derek was waiting outside for me at his bike. He threw me a helmet and I caught it perfectly. "I'm glad you chose that dress." He looked at me from head to toe. I wore a fifties style dress. "I didnât have much of a choice either. I donât have so many dresses to choose out." Derek shook his head and laughed. He knew how much I disliked dresses. In times of fights and flights there was no place for dresses.
I put the helmet on and sat behind Derek on his bike. I put my arms around his waist as he started the engine. He glanced over his shoulder and then drove away. I had no idea where we were going, but as long as I was with him I didnât care. We drove past cafes, restaurants and bars. We drove to the sunset. Once the sun had made room for the moon and the stars, Derek lowered the speed.
We drove more and more slowly into the forest until we stopped. "We're here." He turned off the engine and helped me get off. We stopped at a path lit by candlelight. As far as I could see, the whole path was illuminated. "When did you do this?" I looked at him with a broad smile. "I asked Styles if he wanted to light the candles." He scratched the back of his neck and smiled. I shook my head. "You two are adorable." I grabbed his hand and started walking. Together we walked hand in hand over the illuminated path. The moon was high in the sky, just not a full moon but just full enough.
The path we followedended in a clearing covered with more lights and candles. Through the trees strings with lamps were stretched to give it a magical feeling. In the middle was a blanket with a picnic basket. "You have outdone yourself, I have to give it to you." I turned around and took everything in. Derek watched and admired everything about me.
Derek walked up to me and started to dance with me. Although there was no music, we danced to the music of nature. The birds that sang, the wind that blew and the crickets in the woods.
Time seemed to stand still and everything was perfect, almost too perfect. I closed my eyes and let this moment last forever. With my head resting on his chest, we slowly danced through the night.
In the distance you could hear rustling but we didnât payed any attention to it. Whatever it was turned out to be passing us. We danced until our feet gave in. Laughing and beaming we walked to the carpet and sat down. "Best first date ever." I looked at him. "I'm glad you like it. It took me three days to prepare for this." He looked around and looked proudly at his work.
Derek had even prepared food and put it in a picnic basket. The food was simple, sandwiches, cake and fruit.
While we were eating, we were discussing little things, but most of the time we enjoyed each other's company. It didnât take long before we were disturbed in our evening. I forgot that Scott still had to call. My mobile went off and left a low moan. "That's Scott. I have to take it. "He nodded understandingly.
I picked up my mobile. "Hey Scott." I put it on the speaker so that Derek could listen. "You're on the speaker, Derek is sitting next to me." I let Scott knew. "Okey good, hey, uh, yes, I have news." He mumbled a bit but then told what he knew. "Deaton knows a story about a pack that is formed of alphas and it is most likely on the way to Beacon Hills." Derek and I exchanged a look. "Isaac was right." Derek nodded and sighed.
I had hoped that what was told wouldnât be true, but with Scott's new information, I'm afraid it's true. "Do you have any idea what they are here for or who they are, besides the fact that they are all alphas." I asked Scott. "No, no idea. Only that they might try to blend in with the rest of the city, so the school is where we have to search first. I think.'' Scott said not sounding sure of his case. "Only we are so busy with school itself that we can hardly find out who belongs to the pack." He added. "Do not worry, Scott, Iâll take care of that." Derek assured him. I had no idea what he was thinking about, but from his facial expression he already had a plan.
We ended the phone call with Scott. "Do not worry, I have a plan. For now we still have a date." Derek took my phone from my hands and put it away. He lay back on his back and looked at me seductively. Without hesitation, I lay down beside him and looked together at the starry sky.
Hand in hand we lay next to each other until at a later moment I sought warmth in his embrace. As close as I could I was lying against him. After the night progressed we both fell asleep and woke up the next morning at the same spot.
We woke up a bit stiff from the night, the first thing I saw was Derek's blue eyes and heart melting smile. "Good morning beauty." I laughed half asleep and gave him a sweet, soft kiss. "Hey." My voice was hoarse from the night and sounded like I had drunk, but it was all worth it. From my part I woke up beside him on the battlefield but as long as I woke up beside Derek it was all good.
Derek rolled on his side and laughed. "What's so funny?" I wiped sleep from my eyes. "Nothing." He pulled me closer to him, and that's how we were for a few minutes. "Best date ever." He whispered in my ear. I nodded.
Suddenly I remembered that Derek had a plan for the whole thing with the alpha pack. The question burned on my tongue, I had to ask him. "Hey, yesterday you said you had a plan. I need to know." He breathed deeply into and out. ''Must you do that now, at this time.'' He looked a little begging. ''You're right. Later." Suddenly there was a grin on his face.
There was still enough food left over from the previous evening so that was our breakfast. Together we cleaned up the items and left for home. We let the lights hang, maybe someone else could use it.
Once at home I was ready for a long hot shower. Out of decency I invited Derek but refused my offer. "How attractive that sounds, I have to reject this time. Raincheck?" Without responding, I shrugged and walked to the bathroom.
I could hear Derek talking downstairs, it seemed like he was on the phone because I only heard him. I couldnât make out the bees, I only heard his voice.
While I was enjoying my shower, Derek was busy arranging things. He had a plan to find out who was in the pack full of alphas and apparently preparations had to be made. There was plenty to discuss once I had finished taking a shower. By sleeping on a cold forest ground, my muscles had become stiff. Even werewolves occasionally suffered from something.
Derek was already waiting for me, but he was not alone. Peter, his uncle, sat beside him on the couch. '' Y/N, nice to see you again.'' He said kindly. "Derek what does your psychopath of an uncle do in our house?" I completely ignored Peter and confronted Derek with the fact that I didnât like and trusted his uncle. "Well, he's part of my plan." Derek glanced at his uncle and then at me again. I shook my head and thought it was already a bad plan. ''Then it is a terrible plan.'' I really wondered what was going on in his head.
Derek stood up and walked around the couch. "Now listen, it's a good plan." I looked at him quizzically. "Oh, really?" I asked. He sighed. "Yes, he is only there to set you off." There were so many questions in my head. "To whom?" I didnât try to sound angry just that didnât go as planned. Derek's face started a little. ''School, you are now officially a student at Beacon high.'' As if all the sound had been stolen in the world, I only heard my own heartbeat. It was so quiet around us that you could hear a pin drop. "This is your plan?" I said coldly. Derek nodded. ''Yes, even though you are already too old to go to high school, you seem so young. Peter will take you away as your uncle." The last part he had better not say. I looked back at Peter and looked angry at him. Peter kept his hands high. ''Donât look at me like that, darling. It was Derek's idea." I sighed desperately. "Good, when do I start?" I looked down at Derek. "Second block, so hurry up, you and Peter will leave in a few minutes." Shaking my head, I walked back upstairs.
Looking for a bag that was big enough for all those miserable books and notebooks. Threw a number of pens and pencils in my bag and the rest was a concern for later. With my bag, I walked down again and put on a pair of shoes. "Well, I'm going to school and then what?" I stood next to Derek and wanted more information about this terrible plan. ''You take part in the lessons and pay attention to suspicious behavior. We think that at least one or two of the pack are in school. As you occupy yourself with that, Peter and I start looking for another clue." I nodded. I just hoped that this plan would work
