Omstudios, based in Germany, have made the omcopter - an aerial rig capable of holding a red epic - and shot a pretty slick short with it. And it's got ninjas in it. What happened to ninjas? It's all about zombies, vampires and werewolves now. Surely it's time for a ninja revival? My task for the year is laid out...

Revolutionizing Film, the OM-Copter made by OMstudios is a helicopter drone that is controlled manually by an operator on the ground. Basically it's a RC helicopter camera jib. Yes that exists. And it's made to hold cameras like the RED Epic. Two amazing things in one = Mindblown. The shots it can achieve are simply amazing, even if the takeoff or landing is sketchy, because the camera is kept stable by a rotating stabilizer controlled by operators on the ground. The Om-Copter has the ability to reach heights of about 150 meters, giving directors amazing aerial shots, without the cost of a standard helicopter with a camera rig. This is thing is astounding, and may lead to many more changes in film for the future.

I want ninjas in all the AD.

Ninjas. They did the smart thing and filmed the ninjas in slow-mo. Otherwise it would just be a video of some old buildings.
