The 2018 Designing the Parks interns have been sharing words and photos of their experiences as they spend the summer with the National Park Service Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation.
The Designing the Parks program introduces groups of students to design and planning professions as they support park staff in the protection and management of cultural and natural resources.
These interns are actively involved in research, site visits, meetings with NPS programs and staff, design discussions, documentation, creation of maps and graphics, and sharing their work through videos, the blog, and final presentations.
Sound like a lot to pack into a summer? Sure does.
Sound awesome? Absolutely!
