(heres the context for anyone who wants it)
so i have adhd right? ive known this since i was in first grade, this is nothing new. HOWEVER. i started thinking recently that I might have autism, because almost all of my autistic friends have said to me "are you sure you're not autistic?" so I went in to a neuropsychologist and asked him if i could maybe have autism.
now, this guy is very old-fashioned. doesnt get the "whole trans thing" and from what i can tell, doesn't believe in the autism spectrum. I think that because when I asked him about it during my ADHD eval results, he said "no, i don't think so" and then word-for-word, "see, you're making eye contact with me right now".
so no diagnosis.
now the reason this is funny, is i based james almost completely off of myself. i wouldn't exactly call him a self-insert, more of an author's mirror image in a way. nearly every choice he makes is the same one I would in the given situation. so you rolling up and saying he has autism meanwhile a professional with a degree said i didnt is just hilarious.
