*cringe* that 10 minute art

random short story w/ no title (yet)

Jason heard his footsteps echo in the corridor of the laboratory; the dim lights were barely lighting up the path before him. He felt conflicted about what he was going to do. As he turned left, Jason recalled his predicament: he had to choose between Project Rebirth and President Thorne; he had to choose between a life with his family and the lives of the citizens of Imperia and Pax.

Ten years ago, in 2070, President Thorne had created nuclear weapons, President Luna had viewed it as a threat and declared war. They each gained their alliances until they created two mighty nations, Imperia and Pax. It was simple at first; Imperia fought for power, Pax for peace, but then rose a secret third side to the war. It was an organization made up of the world's scientists, and they had a different outlook on what the world should do. They wanted to start over on a new planet and destroy Earth, sparing only the scientists and their families. They were Project Rebirth.

Soon, Jason had arrived at a door that read: "Dr. Alexander Cosma." He knocked on the cold metal, and with a click, the door slid open. "So Dr. Stellar, have you made your decision?" his friend and co-worker Alexander asked, "The organization has been waiting." "I have come to make the decision," Jason said with hesitation, "...of going with the organization's plan." "Then inform the President of your... idea straight away, we cannot afford to waste time."

Once again, Jason's footfalls were echoing in the gloomy hallway, this time with more certainty. He hoped he was making the right decision.

When Jason reached the office, he knocked. "Come in." he heard an emotionless voice say. The office felt eerie and cold. President Thorne of Imperia was at his desk, his chair facing the wall. "I've been waiting for you," Thorne said as he turned around. He paused, "I have heard a few rumors about your idea." President Thorne looked to be in his mid-forties. He had graying hair with white streaks and a face with sharp, angular features. "Well, sir," Jason began, "I am here to propose the idea of using a bomb powered by energy from the Sun, one will be powerful enough to destroy Pax's entire headquarters." "Perhaps I will agree to this proposition," the President said, "but only as long as you are the one to plant the bomb." Jason knew that this would be the best offer he could get, so he agreed.

One of Jason's statements was a slight lie, though. This lie would prove to be very significant to Project’s plan. The energy of the bomb would not only destroy the headquarters, but it would also destroy the whole world.

Jason was ready for his mission; he needed to set the bomb today. For this, he needed the help of Hugo Starr, another of his friends. Hugo was at Pax's headquarters and was posing as one of their guards, but he was one of Imperia’s top spies. Jason trusted Hugo with his life, and that was his fatal mistake.

Pax's headquarters was different from what he was used to at Imperia. The white metal walls were clean, and the lights overhead were a brilliant white as well. President Luna had employed him to become one of Pax's scientists, and Jason was on his way to her office. Jason knocked on the white door; he heard a beep before the door slid open. "Hello, you must be Jason," said a woman. The woman looked around forty; she had a warm smile and brown hair. Though, her eyes were a cold and lifeless gray. "And you must be President Luna," Jason replied. President Luna then said, "I'll have you placed in the secret lab with our best guard as an escort, Hugo Starr. You may leave." Jason turned around to leave. "Jason, wait," Luna said, "Do not think I do not know why you are here, I know more than your precious little President Thorne; Go ahead, do it and live with the guilt."

I'm actually quite the bookworm (I just got into webtoon, fanfiction, Art, and memes a lot lately)

ummm... I live in the Pacific time zone (so I really need to sleep right now)

I'm asian

Idk what else.... um... I have a secret notebook where I write like the worst, most cheesy fanfics ever

Number 6.... lemme see...I didn't have a social life (maybe it's just the Asian parents idk they're not that strict)

or maybe it's because... number 7... I go to catholic school

So I guess i’m starting a webtoon type of thing but on tumblr.
