the thing about being constantly told your opinion didn’t matter by outside forces is that it kills the sproutlings of all the people saying your opinion does matter !
and then you grow up and your job is to have opinions that matter but in your personal life you revert to malicious ambivalence
#i had a teacher a religion teacher specifically that was so big on telling me personally my opinion didn’t matter cause i was too curious#and curiosity was a sin#well she’d say curiosity and creativity together were a sin cause then you’d develop crazy opinions like the world isn’t two thousand years#old !#anyways she was a devil and really hated me and loved to torment me lmao
