Finally I found time to do this...

The time setting of my fanfiction series, adapted to mirror a realistic development of facts (basically, the whole music I used for Okurimono requested the first shifting to be applied there, hence the whole translation of time-set in my set up Universe.)

Now I just have to link this in AO3, which I already see will be a mess...

Oh well.

HAIKYUU CHAPTER 279 IS ONE OF THE BEST EVER.

I loved EVERY single thing about it. I was expecting the twin’s backstory from the start (check my posts) and getting it now means the game is ready to end in a while (remember how everyone strong from Tendou, Ushi, Oikawa and all the rest got their backstory near the end of the game).

I love how this chapter is a perfect ode to SETTERS, and being myself a former one, I have underlined in my video with patches of colors and comments what made it all so awesome, and so explicative of the true setter’s spirit and skills.

I knew both twins were top, but I sensed from the start what parted them was Atsumu being by far the hungriest of succeeding at playing (that is SO true, my fanfiction Okurimono headcanon-ed how only Atsumu would follow up with volleyball in college, and how Osamu would quit.)

Everything about the twins makes me love them (I love them both equally).

EVERYTHING.

Yes, Atsumu is bitchy and all but he is also honest and full of passion, and there is nothing wrong in being very assertive if that is a side of your true passion showing up from now and then. 

Atsumu is all about becoming amazing (cool in his head and own words) and he goes the greatest lengths to achieve that.

See how the greatest are kingly (he is as well)? Excellent. Now ask yourselves why, as Aran suggests, the fact to be hated by teammates due to his attitude has never touched Atsumu the wrong way. 

It is NOT because he is unemotional or stupid: he can avoid to care because HE IS HEADED TOWARDS GREATNESS nevertheless (like… guess who? Exactly… Lord Kageyama Almighty) and also because HE HAS HIS TWIN always by his side, no matter what (that Kageyama never had: Kageyama has always been ALONE in his prodigy space… I dread the fact Furudate will try to sell us how Kageyama can claim a bond with midget Boku No Hero Karasuno by imitation of the bond the twins have… thing which is idiotic, but it will be sold no matter what to the ordeals of simpletons who like the midget and his annoyance).

This means Atsumu can develop his obsession being guarded by LOVE (and aptly, LOVE is in the chapter title).

I love myself how Kageyama is beyond emotioned and thrilled and stimulated by what he is seeing of Miya (which is far more he could get at the camp) because Kageyama like all the majors senses his own species and longs to get better along the challenge other great players inspire him to accept.

KAGEYAMA has found for real somebody to fight continuously, somebody he respects and admires (another Oikawa, basically), to allow himself to GROW again and further, and he LONGS and LOVE those opportunities, because it’s clear volleyball is what makes him feel alive and happy (JUST volleyball. Cut the cr*p of friends and teammates and Hinata because Kageyama couldn’t care less about those AT ALL. He only cares about volleyball).

That’s sportsmanship.

That’s the beauty of a game.

What makes me cringe, is that the risk after such an awesome chapter is to find useless Hinata more and more in the following ones.

Furudate as I said will try to sell the “bond” factor to readers, like a twin bond can be matched by two guys who are not even that friendly with one another (Hinata is the Lord’s Leech Exploiter, and just that… he is not friendly at all, he just uses Kags for covering his awful player’s limits), but as long as I can have more exchanges between Kags and Atsumu I will endure the pain of having to stand again Hinata at anything.

I keep liking Haikyuu for chapters like this one, when the true beauty of the game and the beauty of being a talented player with challenges to overcome can still make my heart flutter.

I’ll try to overlook any nonsense of a midget with zero power and weight being the protagonist in a sport where a flea like him would be instantly erased from the court.

I’ll bask in the glory of rivalries which can sound believable like the one between Atsumu and Lord Almighty.

I long to see what Atsumu will say to Kags when he will be defeated (because Inarizaki will certainly lose this). I head-canoned my first fan fiction this past May out of that starting moment so I am curious to see if what I wrote can get a canon acceptance ;)

Thank you to my luck for having rearranged my two first classes at Uni today AND for placing the scanners two doors away *.*

I love to draw Alisa because she’s supposed to be gorgeous and with heterochromatic eyes which is definitely a plus. Stunning people with a peculiarity are my thing, no matter the gender *.*

If I have to go with the plan, next illustration for Chapter 3 may involve the redhead midget... I have to. It’s substantial to the story so I’ll have to do my best (sigh).

Finding an aesthetic is gonna be hard with him but I have no choices but try... *basks in thoughts of doom*
