But what if Derek came by every day to talk about his life to his uncle and he tells Peter about this boy he met called Stiles. And the boy's so young, so incredibly young, but he can't stay away and he's probably fucked it up already like he always does, because he just controls it by being angry just like Peter taught him.

And he tells Peter all of those things and how Stiles smells and what he looks like and that his heart beats faster than a normal human's which should be annoying but it's not.

And then when Peter's reveal happens he instantly recognizes the young man - or well, boy - in front of him; open mouth, upturned nose, buzzcut and smells slightly like citrus, just like Derek told him. 

And then Derek busts in and elbows the nurse in the face and he looks so angry, Peter thinks, so furious. So Peter glances at Stiles, a small smile on his face and Derek charges for him but Peter knows. He knows what's going on, he knows what Derek's thinking, what Derek's feeling, because Derek's told him all about it.

So he knocks Derek into the wall and launches for Stiles, presses him against the wall, teeth hovering over Stiles’ neck because he knows he can't get Derek to join his pack unless he has a little leverage. And he sees the moment it clicks in Derek's brain, eyes widening and smell turning panicked as Peter runs his nose up the side of Stiles' neck, leaving his own scent there.

"Stop," Derek whispers, so quiet Stiles probably can't hear it. "Please stop. Please don't do this." 

"What would I get in return?" Peter asks, pressing Stiles more firmly against the wall, smiling when Stiles hisses.

"Anything," Derek mumbles brokenly, eyes flickering between Stiles' face and Peter's, watching as Peter slowly crushes Stiles' wrist. "Anything. Please, Peter, just let him go."

Peter smirks, because he knows he has Derek now. He presses down onto Stiles' wrist, listening as the bones crack under the force and Stiles' head slumps backward against the wall, passing out from the pain.

"Anything," Peter nods, grinning. "You can have him back. But consider the wrist a little taste of what'll happen if you go back on your promise." 

And then he throws Stiles at Derek, watching as Derek carefully cradles Stiles to his chest, mindful of his broken wrist, burying his nose in Stiles' hair.
