Jinbei were originally made from linen, though modern versions are often made from cotton, cotton-linen blends, or cotton mixed with synthetic fibers. The fabric is usually loosely woven and highly breathable for hot and humid weather. A distinctive feature is the small slits around the shoulders, which improve ventilation.

Why is the manga character art always less attractive than the novel version.
Again, it's not because the novel art is more "detailed", the manga art here is super detailed too, and the character design they went with in the manga is not bad per se. I just prefer the original novel art more 😭
