Amsterdam, the Dutch capital referred to as the ‘Venice of the North’ due to umpteen canals there, is the third largest IT start-up hub in Europe. There are 1600 tech firms employing 70,000 of which 13% comprise of the local workforce. Amsterdam’s software landscape is evolving into a top investment destination earning $830 million last year.
