The Missing Piece
Two young elves ran back to their hut, their red hair flowing behind them as they laughed. Some pandaren children their age ran with them for a bit until they turned and ran in another direction. However, the two elves continued on. The village was starting to set up decorations celebrating a holiday that the mainlands practiced and was starting to be popular with the pandaren children: Hallow’s Eve.
Marcus and Lyra had seen the decorations from afar, but now that they were allowed to wander around the village alone, they not only grew excited with their friends, but they couldn’t wait to decorate the hut with their mother. The only problem they saw was that every year, one item was missing. Not this year, if they could help it.
Alaia sat outside the hut, the youngest child in his crib when the twins ran toward the hut. “Momma! Momma! We got the perfect decoration!” Marcus said enthusiastically.
“It’s what was missing! Momma! We found it and the village has so many, we can go get more!” Lyra added.
The twins unveiled the large spherical item they were holding: a bright, orange pumpkin. “Can we go get more?” they said in unison, bright eyed and smiling, eagerly waiting for their mother to agree so they could go back to the village.
