"Alan," he tries to get his attention as the Writer looks around, opening cabinet after cabinet in search of whatever could stop the bleeding. "Alan! You really don't need to —"
It is now the third time Casey has tried to stop Alan from fussing over him, and each time it seems to only make him do so more aggressively. This time, when the writer sends him a look over his shoulder, he finally sits back on the chair the other sat him down on.
Keeping pressure on the wound was slowly starting to become a harder task, his fingers slipping through the blood and ruining his hold.
When Alan returns to his side with a medkit, Casey is already too dazed with blood loss to really fight back when the Writer peels away his layers until he's bare chested.
The fresh wound is from an axe slash near his gut that luckily seems to have missed any of his internal organs (otherwise he would have been dead by now) but still hurts like shit.
His head lolls to the side as he feels Alan's warm hands press a gauze against the wound, a soft smile taking his features as he looks at the other's panicked expression.
"Calm down," Casey drawls, "I'm not dying."
Alan asks him to keep talking, then asks him about his scars and lets his fingers drag over a deep one that runs along his abdomen to just above his navel. There are several smaller scars around there as well, as if he were punctured by a short knife several times over.
"I don't remember all of them," he admits, "But I have these dreams... it doesn't make any sense — I've had them since I was very young and some of the scars just seem to... appear."
