(Do you have an about page, or your headcanons compiled anywhere?)
oh bugger, i’m afraid i don’t yet (nor do i know how to set one up yet…)
thank you for reminding me!
It’s been a long time since I dove into the Wikipedia rabbit hole of interlinkedness, but, hey, here is a gem I should like to share, on the page of a widespread Christian heresy in the High Middle Ages (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogomilism), I give you the proud etymology of the excellent word ‘bugger’:
A French and consequently an English word emerged based on twisted perceptions of the Bogomils by the Catholic Church. The words "bouguer" and "buggery" emerged, by way of the word "bougre" in French, from the Latin Bulgarus (Bulgarian). "Buggery" first appears in English in 1330 with the sense "abominable heresy", though "bugger" in a sexual sense is not recorded until 1555.[33] The Oxford Dictionary of English Etymology quotes a similar form—"bowgard" (and "bouguer"), but claims that the Bulgarians were heretics "as belonging to the Greek Church, sp. Albigensian". Webster's Third New International Dictionary, gives the only meaning of the word "bugger" as sodomite, "from the adherence of the Bulgarians to the Eastern Church considered heretical"..[34]
That's good it's good that people reached out to you to make sure you were okay
bollocks, replied to the wrong thing.
edit: it was really nice.
now at the risk of this person knowing i am complaing about her I am going to go further
So I was talking at my cousins’ wedding last saturday, and I was just saying about my trip to new york and this person who was giving me grief was just sort of on her phone and being kind of rude, and i felt like engaging her so iaddressed her.
this person then goes
“I noticed samantha barks crops you out of all the pictures that you are in, why’s that”
I insisted that this was not true, because for one; sam has never taken a picture of her fans on her own phone, and she has only reblogged group pictures once. and this was from the day before i got to new york when i was not there.
She insisted that i was wrong and that she compared the two pictures and i was clearly cropped out. fun fact: it would be nearly impossible to crop me out of the new york pictures due to where i was.
i eventually left and later on when i passed by this girl said “i am sorry if i upset you.
and to be honest i am thinknig that either way she should feel sorry because it was a bitchy thing to say.
anyways, this rant was actually to highlight the fact that when I have told people what this girl said everyone was angry at her and supportive of me. which was really sweet.
