               people  looked  at  him like he was  a  FREAK.  with  the  way  cypress  slouched       whenever  he  walked,  he  didn’t really B L A M E  them.  coco told him to try to blend      in  as  much  as  he  could.  if that meant SUFFERING through the pain  of  walking  on      just two legs,  he’d have  to suck it up.  his knuckles were in a  constant state of being      curled,  callused  palms  NEVER catching a break whenever he knuckle-walked back       in his own territory.  his arms were H E A V Y at his sides,  but he still powered through      the day as if it were no problem at all. it wasn’t until he saw a particularly... UNHAPPY      girl that he made an effort to  interact with others around him.  out  of  the  KINDNESS      of  his  heart,  cypress  reached  down  to pluck a flower from the ground  ( it was half-      dead, but don’t TELL him that ).  holding  it out to the  other,  cypress  offered  a  very      C R O O K E D smile.

     “---- Well, you’re different.”
