I often find myself more productive when hungover: a hangover is a micro-delirium-tremens (among other things), and the most recent antipsychotics are strychninimimetic IIRC. Also, children get less sedation and more of the dissociative end of alcohol, because they have less dense GABA receptors. Acetaldehyde is another hangover component: Asian beers are often lower in it (and acetaldehyde's a smoking product, also).
