@ofstonemill said -> “ please, tell me you have a plan. ” {for Jon? or dealer's choice!}
“of course I have a plan.” Jon said though that was only technically true the plan was to not die. They’d done well so far but night was coming and they were on the wrong side of the wall. that’s what you get for taking a builder out with you. Jon thought almost bitterly, a builder who holds the new gods. In all truth Jon had nothing against the new gods, but on this side of the wall he was not sure they had any power at all.
“Just, we need a fire, a fire will keep away wolves and- and other things.” Wolves excluding ghost of course, “it’ll keep out the cold as well, The cold kills more rangers than anything else.” Not that either of them were rangers but, well they might as well have been.
He’d needed to bring Jack though, needed one of the builders. So here they were, not lost, it was impossible to be lost, the wall was always south of them. But they were stuck in the middle of the haunted forest for the night, gods be good it really was just the night.
