          impatient hands finger the cuff of his sleeve, the only sound in the room is the breathing of his family & himself, along with the dull ringing from his ears. just this morning hyunwoo's parents told him the news that he was to meet his future wife today. for the past 23 years he ( wrongfully ) assumed he'd never have the title of king, & if he was honest he was okay with that. all the man wanted was to live his legacy as the youngest son who cooks -- yet now he had a whole new future with a stranger to think about. his family keeping his arranged marriage a secret was the biggest betrayal; he wished they had told him sooner so he could mentally prepare himself. he was nervously staring at the double doors as he waited for the announcement of his fiancée’s arrival. his wish was granted when a staff member peeked through the doors, their voice echoing off the walls & high ceiling: the new family is here. quickly standing, hyunwoo folded his hands in front of him. his heart was almost beating out of his chest, he wondered who his future wife is & what her personality's like; with a small gasp his breath caught in his throat when he finally saw her. his vision grew blurry while his mind raced from confusion; unless his family found a doppelganger, hyunwoo was sure the woman standing before him was his childhood friend whom he hasn't had contact with for years. eyes blinking back the blur, the prince looked at his parents before turning back to the woman, finally opening his mouth to speak: "kyoko?"
