Dear B,

It’s so often when I think of you, that I don’t know how to conceptualize you.  I’d call you brother, but I had one of them and that is a singularly unique circumstance I don’t quite fold you in with.  I’d call you son, but you’re an adult and I am not remotely parental.  So for now, it sounds so blasé, but I must speak of you as my dearest of friends.

B, my dearest boy, you deserve the world, and I would personally set a few fires, and snap my share of spines to ensure it’s yours.  I don’t know that you know how rooms light up when you enter them, how morale, dipping from the dull, grey march to death that is living picks up and is livened by the most enchanting music when you approach.  No, I know that you know.  You’re clever, and you know people far too well for obliviousness.  What I want you to take away from this is how I adore it.

B, you are a righteous crusader, a beacon of genius, and a wicked wit with a mind for action.  If there are true movers of the world as we know it, they look like you.  

That all being said, I’m filled with such a rage at what you’ve had to endure, it blinds me.  Be thankful that I never took a ministry job, or I’d have been fired and jailed for murder of that man, and regretted none of it.  Please remember that I would cut down a battalion to attend your safety.  Be unafraid to tell me if you need something, if you want anything, from comfort to carnage, and I will be there.

You are one of my family now, and that is not a phrase I use lightly.  I don’t want a moment’s hesitation of you asking things of me, truly, Honeybee, because there is nothing I spare for family.

          lavender brows contracted for mere seconds, knowing mostly any kind of physical contact was refrained from between victor and host, but too quickly had her hand tipped upon his nose for him to react earlier. eyes glanced above her, blinking several times in utter confusion as he tried to find any words back. there were many things to expect, even tears, however a victor rarely did such a thing ; he was sure she was the first.  however, the professional smile returned to his lips after so quickly fading away.    ‘   is there something about my nose ?’    chuckle held within his words, fingers moved to touch the tip of his nose himself.    ‘   nice nose, isn’t it ?  quite proud of this one ….   ’
