picking  up  necessities  definitely  shouldn't  be  a  two  person  job,  but  leaving  BRETT  AND  XAVIER  in  charge  was  basically  the  equivalent  to  leaving  a  child  in  charge.  he  looks  at  the  shelf  in  front  of  them,  then  looks  back  at  xavier.  “what  did  lennon  say  we  needed  again  ?”

he  isn't  exactly  sure  how  they  ended  up  together.  spending  the  last  of  the  year  with  the  guy  his  sister  arguably  disliked  most  was  definitely  not  on  any  bingo  card  of  his.  and  yet,  what  started  as  him  bickering  with  the  other  somehow  turned  into  them  sharing  multiple  drinks.  " it's  no  wonder  my  sister  can't  stand  you,  hoggin'  all  the  booze  like  that. "  his  tone  isn't  biting  like  it  had  been  an  hour  ago.  now  it's  teasing,  the  smirk  on  his  face  betraying  him  completely.  " hand  it  over. "  kai  reaches  for  the  bottle,  and  as  he  does  his  fingers  unintentionally  brush  against  xavier's.  it's  just  for  a  second.  long  enough  for  him  to  feel  the  pull  of  something  he  shouldn't.  he  moves  back  a  little,  clears  his  throat,  and  downs  a  large  swig.  tries  to  convince  himself  he's  just  drunk.  there's  no  way  they're  flirting  right  now.  but  the  gleam  in  his  eyes  as  he  mutters,  " arsehole, "  is  far  too  telling.

"I absolutely was not scared in the maze at all." Levi was still catching his breath. "If anyone tells you otherwise, they're lying."

it  was  shaping  up  to  be  another  normal  morning  –  he'd  waken  up  early,  taken  a  shower,  and  even  had  time  to  grab  a  couple  of  coffees  for  him  and  lucy  on  his  way  to  work.  probably  one  of  the  better  mornings  he's  had.  that  is,  until  him  and  MARÍA  ESTRADA  reach  the  door  at  the  exact  same  time.  he  diverts  his  gaze,  not  brave  enough  to  make  eye  contact,  and  reaches  for  the  door.

venus  holds  out  her  hands  in  front  of  her,  inspecting  her  last  set  of  nails  that  was  most  definitely  growing  out.  “i  know  it's  still,  like,  three  weeks  away,  but  i  still  haven't  picked  a  valentine's  design  …  are  we  feeling  more  red  or  more  pink  ?”
