I’ve come to the conclusion that diet culture officially needs to be banned. Your body fuels everything you do, having fat is what would keep you alive in an emergency situation. Fat also protects your organs from almost everything. I’m not saying eat junk food all the time or anything, obviously eating healthy is still important, but counting calories, avoiding entire food groups, avoiding ever eating outside of what the media decides is “healthy” doesn’t protect your body. It affects mental health too, if you aren’t fueling your body enough it’ll throw your hormones way pit of whack, so especially if you already have any mental health issues it’ll amplify them.
All this to say, if you haven’t eaten, go eat, please. And drink (water preferably but honestly anything.) And don’t you dare listen to the haters <3
