Got myself some more hand made items by local artists! I got an offering dish, a goblet and a spoon all made from clay and all with the intention of using on my altar. I’m so happy with them they’re so pretty.
Offering dishes
My darling suggested I make offering dishes for my alter and my store so others could also have them, I did and they're soooo cute, I don't have photos because they're still drying out *sigh* but I pressed some cute sequins into them like dinosaurs, flowers, cats and even moons and I just want them to dry so I can paint them and use them and list them in my store
Pomegranate Rind Bowls
So I recently started making these little bowls in order to contain outdoor offerings and reduce waste. They could also be used on an altar for Persephone.
You Wil Need:
Pomegranate
Knife
Spoon
Directions:
1. Cut your pomegranate in half and hollow out the seeds. You may want to scrape the inside of the rind with a spoon to remove the excess soft tissue.
2. If you want to carve any symbols into the rind do so!
3. I use a dehydrater to dehydrate the rind til it hardens up and forms a bowl. I usually keep an eye on it til I thi k its dry enough. You could also do thus in an oven with a baking sheet but Im not sure what settings would be best for this. Personally Id try a lower temp and let it bake over a long period of time monitoring as I go.
4. Thats it
My Aphrodite offering bowl. This was my first attempt at an offering and I’m very happy with it. Seashells, pearls, rose quartz and rose hip tea. I hope the goddess of love and beauty is pleased with her gifts, so that she might bestow upon me the courage and strength for self love and assist me in banishing my insecurities when it comes to my romantic endeavors.
