25th May: CHARACTER DAY
For the first day of @originalficfest‘s event I’ll share some aesthetics and details about the three characters that appear in both of the stories, Loose Teeth and Flowerpot Lizards.
Rosa Our protagonist.
Rosa was born in Carmine City, to the south, and grew up in the western outskirts where the yards are bigger and the sun sets behind the mountains instead of the city wall. An early passion for animals led her to volunteer at a local animal shelter, where she first learnt basic veterinary skills and the legalities surrounding animal care.
Now she’s an investigator for the Animal Protection branch of Animal Protection and Wildlife Services in Tenibaru, and spends her days foiling crime and doing paper work. So much paper work.
Sere Main secondary character.
Another investigator with the AP, Sere is from the Seshawa islands to the north. A cheerful soul, she moved to Tenibaru to expand her world beyond her own small island home and after befriending Ollet she found a place at Animal Protections. Originally working in the main office she soon began assisting on cases, and progressed quickly to working in the field.
Ollet Secondary character.
The receptionist at Animal Protections and Wildlife Services, Ollet is the only one of our three who is a born and bred Tenibaru local. Despite disparaging Rosa’s workaholic habits he is always at the office, and finding the front desk devoid of him is rare and discomfiting. Despite his sharp wit and reticence about his personal life, his is a solid and warm presence for the often-overworked investigators.
