Had an art night that was hosted on a friend's server last night. The activity of the night was, first off, "drawing with your off-hand", which is... very hard, could not really figure out how to hold a small object like a pen in my hand with my left. This was my result:
Would definitely "encourage" you to do it if only to see how much of a hot mess it'd come out.
Secondly, the latter half, the actual subject of the night, was to "make pixel art of any of your OCs in the style of a game of your choosing" or, rather, whatever they had in the folder. They had Deltarune as an option, so I picked Deltarune because I'm basic as fuck.

This is actually the first time I've even booted up Aseprite and thanks to the references, I was actually able to make some cohesive? And yes, I'm aware that color on a portrait implies that Lily would be a darkner but I work better with colors. Maybe some other time.

Okay! I am inviting all my followers (and anyone who sees this post) to participate in a drawing activity! The activity is:
Draw Pochi with your non-dominant hand!
To be clear, if you’re right-handed, draw with your left! If you’re left-handed, draw with your right! If you’re fairly ambidextrous, draw with whatever hand you use the least for drawing! Digital or on paper, anything’s good!
(I’m going to be honest, Pochi might be tough to draw even with your usual hand, but this is for fun! And stretching our skills! Also, you don’t have to try it if you don’t want to.)

(The writing there was also done with my non-dominant hand. All shading and erasing as well... This turned out better than expected, but I like the pencil part more than the pen.)
(With more practice, I would likely be totally ambidextrous. I always mean to practice my off-handed writing and drawing and then forget, which is why I did this in the first place. I don’t know if it’s a skill anyone else particularly wants to work on, but I figured maybe it could be fun?)
(This was the third Pochi I’ve ever drawn in entirety, and that is counting drawing with my dominant hand. I should draw more Pochi, huh?)
Other than the funky blog Pochi, the reason behind choosing Pochi for this was because I feel like Pochi will forgive me even if they turn out terrible as a result of practicing an underdeveloped skill. It’s okay to be bad at something, especially something you rarely do, so if you join in on this, don’t feel bad about any weird-looking Pochi attempts! It’s all okay!
I need to find a better resolution for phone pics that Tumblr won't mangle... but here's a bunch of busts of my characters. I'm kinda in the mood to draw other folk's characters, too, though. So reblog with a link to reference and I'll do a bust sketch? If you're interested in that sort of thing.
