"...To boldly go, where no one has gone before."
U.S.S. Panzerstadt-Bayreuth NX-97010 A
Not a full successor ship like Enterprise A is to the Enterprise, my lore explanation \ RP idea for this ship is badly damaged in some adventure and almost completely rebuilt, using new blueprints based off scans of the Terran dreadnought featured in the most recent campagin (hence the temporary NX designation)
It's an MMO - the point is to be kinda cringey right?
Seen here taking a shakedown cruise over the Andor and it's moon Andoria, the home of my captain & main 'toon - Nassys Pohl.
Name: U.S.S. Verity
Type: Odyssey-class
Year: 2385
Background: Admiral Jean-Luc Picard’s Flagship, with Commander Raffi Musiker as his first officer. Leading the relief effort into Romulan space to evacuate as many people out of the way of the predicted supernova. Was diverted to Yuyat Beta, a secret Romulan colony on the edge of the predicted blast zone.
The colony itself was previously unknown to Starfleet and planetary scans were forbidden (countermeasures were also in place to prevent such scans). Only Picard and Musiker were invited to the surface, contact was lost with them after they’d beamed down. Hours later the governor hailed the Verity informing them they needed assistance, claiming Picard and Musiker were killed in an attack by the natives, and they had wounded. Verity began beaming aboard survivors as well as the Governor and her staff. Lt. Newton guided her to the Captain’s ready room so she could contact the Romulan Senate but it was a ruse to take over the ship, assisted by some unknown benefactor, as they had the necessary command overrides. The Romulans incapacitated Newton when he proved cumbersome, but soon found out that they did not have complete control of the ship, they had only locked out the crew from command and control. As she was gloating to Picard on the surface it didn’t take long for the crew to reestablish control and beam the Governor and her cohorts to the brig.
Picard, Musiker and two Tal Shiar defectors - Laris and Zhaban - returned to the Verity, where Picard made his report to the Romulan Senate. A Romulan warship arrived at Yuyat Beta but hadn’t been called by the Governor, it was Tal Shiar, which had given the governor incomplete takeover codes, and now supplied Zhaban with the full codes. The Tal Shiar’s mission had always been to destroy the Verity, suspecting a Federation plot masked in a goodwill gesture. Two warbirds arrived, summoned by Picard and the Senate earlier when Picard sent his report to the Senate. They were there to back up Picard, and the two Tal Shiar operatives with Picard were behind him as well, having witness his actions firsthand on the colony. The Tal Shiar warship retreated. The Governor was taken into custody by the newly arrived Romulan Commander and resettlement efforts got underway in earnest for both the Romulan colonists and the native population (a prior point of contention with the now-disgraced governor). Picard offered the former Tal Shiar operatives save haven at his winery in France.
