4. What was your OC's childhood dream? Is that still their dream? If it has changed, why did it change and what's their new dream?

I think as a kid, Shinumi wanted to do dance professionally. Not idol professional, but like a performer or something. His dream didn't change, moreso it shattered. Now he just wants to live peacefully with his friends and found family.

7. Where is your OC's family from? Does your OC feel a close connection to that place? Why or why not?

I haven't thought back farther than the immeidate family, but Shinumi's from Nagoya! It had good people, and when he wasn't experiencing The Horrors he did enjoy the city. I think it's one of those situations where nowadays he'd really like the atmosphere of the place if he were to go back, but there's so much mental baggage (and he's unsure who in the family is still in town) that he's incredibly against going back there.

and by that I mean uhhhh. [spins wheel] got anything on your mind for the IW era stuff lately?

So IW era Shinumi is fun

IW is about ~3 years post LJ, so Shinumi is now living in Ijincho. He's working at Seriyo High as their new dance instructor (thank/blame Yagami) and has been living life. He's also helping out Higashi and Sugiura with their endeavors. Things had been relatively normal until he got a knock on his door one evening. Nanba was there. And so was Saeko. And Seonhee.

And Kiryu.

Shinumi's thoughts about/relationship with Kiryu is super interesting to me. As someone who's heard a multitude of stories about the guy, heard every legend one could hear, to then meet him... and see a reflection of the demons he fought almost 20 years ago. Except, Kiryu's surrounded by loved ones. Shinumi, in his perspective, had barely anyone on his side when he was going through all of that.

So how the fuck could Kiryu be this stupid, wanting to die while there's so much to live for?

There's also his reactions to Saejima and. Ough I'm gonna leave that alone but This Sunday Six. Yup. I think about it a lot.

Ishin Shinumi is much more of a genderfluid character?#my thought is that theyre part of the information network of the shinsengumi (whatever JGH's insert worked in im p sure) but when not doing #-that. theyre a masked performer. what kind? not sure. but someone who's gender is ambiguous and can appear both masc/fem/whatever #i also wanna connect them to Saejima's insert char (Nagakura? i think? <- she hasnt touched Ishin in a while good lord(#and dont think ive forgotten about Judgment Ishin either...... im still so down to brainstorm that once im done with the game 👀
