It's true Internet, I have secured a job as an OT starting in 2015!! I am so excited!!! And also very nervous. It's going to be a HUGE learning curve. I have to keep reminding myself that I am actually qualified to do this stuff. My job is with an occupational rehabilitation consultant so I will be working with individuals who have been injured in the work place and creating plans for them to return to work, I will be working with the work places where individuals have been injured, conducting worksite assessments (to reduce the risk of injury), conducting manual handling training, ergonomic assessments, ADL's and a LOT of report writing. It will all be very interesting, but also challenging. It's OT in the corporate world. The position is also ~1hr 40min train trip from where husband and I currently reside. This is a little daunting and a lot of people have told me it's too far to go, but there's NO work where I am and this is a fantastic opportunity. Besides even if I can only hack it for 6months, it will still be 6months more experience than I currently have. On the flip side husband and I tentatively planning to move back to the city in the next 18months or so anyways, so I will give it my best shot :D it shouldn't be too bad. I won't have to change trains or anything, just have to be at the station on time. The office is like a 5 min brisk walk from the end of the line (or 2min tram). And I can do stuff like read, sleep, crochet, tumblr or even work on the train if I so desired. The most challenging aspect I think will be fitting in exercise and ensuring my puppies get exercise. It will work out and I HAVE A JOB.
