Hi Molly!!! Hope you're having a good time in Tokyo :3 I'll be in Tokyo this August and I have some questions I would like your personal opinion on; Which is better? Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disneysea? And what are some of the key differences? I'll be there for two weeks, but don't know if I would want to visit both(I know they are expensive..D:). What is your recommendation? Should I just go to one, or must I go to both? Thanks <3
Hello! Â Go to DisneySea. Do ittt! I didn't listen to people and opted to go to Disneyland and, while it was exciting to be at DL in Japan, it is basically a replica of the Magic Kingdom. Â If I had to choose between the two, DisneySea is the experience you won't get anywhere else.
Other advice: don't go on the weekend if you can help it. Â Best chance to go is on a weekday, and early! Â Students will go after school so it can even get crowded on weekday afternoons. Â I went to TDL on a Sunday afternoon (it's discounted after 3PM) and by then all the fastpasses are closed and the lines are really long.
Yesterday at DisneySea I also went at 3PM, however the forecast called for rain and lo and behold the downpour drove some guests out. I was able to to Tower of Terror in a shorter line and a few rides had no lines, since I was willing to go on in the rain. ;)
Look up some reviews of DisneySea, everything there was created by the Imagineers specifically for Tokyo. Â I'd say you wouldn't be missing out on TOO much by skipping TDL, and it's right next door so you can always look at it when you take the monorail to DisneySea. ;)Â
Do you know where in Tokyo you'll be? It can be kind of tricky getting there, but let me know all the details and I'd love to help you! Â I went into this blindly and fortunately it went without a hitch haha btu I'd be more than happy to make it easy for ya!Â
