You are not a "christian" if you hate your neighbour. You are not following Jesus's teachings if you hate.
{Im a folk-catholic & a Pagan, so i believe jesus is real but i follow his teachings in a different way to most christians.}
Do not call yourself a follower of Christ, of Mary, the Blessed Mother; if you hate. If you are filled with judgement. If you do not challenge your own hate and judgment, or question other's.
Jesus flipped tables. Jesus told people to gouge their eyes out. Jesus said it was impossible/difficult for wealthy people to get into Heaven. Jesus sat with whores, the lonely, the desperate, the weak, the disabled, the poor, the disadvantaged and the homeless. He encourages his followers to feed the hungry, house the homeless, and do everything we can for our neighbours, because we are all ONE in him.
Im not even a devoted follower of Jesus, and i understand this. So why cant most "christians"?

A possible answer came last week. I was in severe pain; an recurring pain that was worse than I’ve ever had — could hardly move, let alone sit up. For over an hour, I tried the usual tricks without success. I was scared. It was time to reach out for prayers as I considered medical attention.
Messaged the group, drank the glass of water by my side and brought my glass to the sink, only to realize I was standing straight. The pain was gone and my body had released all pain-induced tension. Before anyone acknowledged my request, let alone had time to pray. Could it be that the miracle comes not from the number of petitioners or the sincerity of Aves said? Could it be the asking?
There’s something about praying in a group that potentizes a miracle. “When two or more are gathered” and all that. Is the key that, in praying with others, we necessarily share our petition (be it out loud or in writing, or in our heart/mind with others present)?
In her visitations from the Queen of Heaven, Catherine Labouré asked about the rays of light emanating from some of the rings on the vision’s fingers. The Virgin explained that those are the answers to prayer; that the rings without light are the graces for which people have yet to ask. For those who follow Jesus’ teachings, you might recognize this Mother’s promise in his “everyone who asks receives”.
Not that all miracles come through instantaneously. My belief is that those quick ones provide the proof our logical minds need to build trust and strengthen faith. It’s how we learn to recognize the miracles no matter how long they take.

The old gods are the air you breathe, the forest you walk through, the moss you trample on, the water you drink, the food you eat. The cool stream you stick your fingers in on a warm day, the leaves you crunch up on a boring day, the sun, the moon, the stars, the house you live in, the people you know, the food you eat, they're in the essence of everything. They're the very ground beneath your feet and the sky above your head.
Now tell me again how the Gods have abandoned you?
