❛  okay,  you  listen  here,  stud.  we're  going  to  go  to this  play  and  i  just  know  you're  going  to  be  begging  to  go  see  the  next  one.  not  everything  you  can  get  out  of  life  can  be  found  in  some  musty,  old  book,  you  know.  we  are  in  the  twentieth  century  ❜  jenny  teased,  her  tone  and  was  light  and  playful  as  she  stared  up  into  giles's  eyes,  admiring  every  feature  that  made  him  ...  him.  a  smile  was  beaming  on  her  face,  reaching  out  to  fix  the  collar  of  his  tweed  jacket,  ❛  and,  hey,  if  you  don't  like  it,  at  least  you  got  to  witness  pop  culture  in  action  ❜  she  added.

no matter how many centuries passed, that little trick never got old. youthful amusement flickers like endless candlelight in a timeworn mansion and the ghost of a smile tugs at the corners of armand's mouth. ❝ i plucked it from your mind, ❞ he admits plainly, leant back against the library counter, one hand on the ledge and the other cradling a book.

he only found his way here through giles himself. a little harmless stalking of a human who caught his eye turned into something far more interesting. good instincts or fortunate coincidence, he isn't sure, but his curiosity is piqued. it's not everyday he finds himself in a place so supernaturally charged.

it wasn't too often that john sent dean out on hunts alone. sam was close to graduating high school, and really, dean would hope to finish this case fast enough to not miss it. john had picked up on a potential monster roaming sunnydale california and sent dean off to handle it. the investigation had led dean to the high school, where a little bit of lying and plenty of fake paperwork had landed him a temporary job as a p.e coach. not exactly his style, but it would allow him to watch the student body for clues.

dean had quickly picked up on the fact that there was definitely something strange going on between a couple of students and the librarian. so, dean's brilliant plan for learning more, is simply to break into the librarian's little office and look through what he can find there.
