Funny Otakon Story Time!
So I was cosplaying Ocarina of Time Link for the majority of the con this weekend, right?
And while I was at the dealer's room, I started chatting with one of the guys working at one of the booths. He was admiring my costume and I was like "Yeah, I even have my ocarina with me! I've been playing for a year." And he asked if he could hear me play. I, being the dork I am, said "Do I get a discount for it?" He said no, since he was just a seller, and if I wanted a discount I'd have to ask his "ganon-like boss." I laughed and told him I'd play for him anyway, since he was nice.
So, I play the market theme, the song of time, and Greensleves (I mostly play classical music, not Zelda XD) And he's looking behind me and I'm like "what?" So I turn around and there are legit 50 people behind me and they start clapping and cheering and I start blushing and saying stuff like "I'm not that good!" and ducked my head and fled the scene. But a few of them came up to me afterwards and told me I was great. SEE BRYAN I AM A WONDERFUL MUSICIAN AND THE OCARINA SOUNDS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL WHEN I PLAY IT.
