Where is originally a jester in a sort of fantasy world, not exactly like how jesters were historically. There are many jesters there and even more entertainers in general of a large variety. Where just happens to be incredibly good at what it does and is one of the top jesters in that category. They are an anarchist and how that specifically affects their stories is they prey on the government/monarchy/etc's downfall, not necessarily pray for it, unless given reason to. This does not mean that they'll keep their snide comments to themself. Where is never afraid to use it's jester's privilege.
Post death Where is cursed (or blessed?) to continuously reincarnate in thousands of different worlds, live thousands of different lives (although they retain their memories and prefers to not stray too far from their entertainment roots), and cause as much chaos and have as much fun as their heart desires, until their next life, and the next one.
They are trying to get back to their original world. Other worlds don't have much meaning to it besides temporary fun.
It has lost a slight grip on reality from all this reincarnating. It also enjoys convincing others that it is not real, although sometimes convincing itself of that as well.
