90’s outfit & aesthetic

i must say. if i could time travel, i would definitely go back to the 90’s first! they’re like, my favorite decade i guess.

the purpose of this post is, that i’m thinking about making a drawing challenge with every day a different topic.

means you can draw your characters, yourself or if you’re in a certain fandom you could draw those characters in outfits that could have been worn in the 90’s along with other 90’s things. this was my intention.

I'm answering these questions for my two main characters, per oquinn53's request. Lissa and Jack are twins.

Lissa/Lissander

What position does your character sleep in? In fetal position

Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc. He has a scar on his left bicep from when Jack accidentally hit him with their sword as pages.

Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like? This would be the same as Jack (French-ish), but maybe with a tendency to make even his sentences sound like questions.

Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly? The lilt to his voice that makes eveything he say sound kind of like a question.

What are their chief tension areas? He has a lot of soreness in his hands, especially his left hand where a horse stepped on it when he was eight years old. The horse more or less missed his fingers, but without his natural healing talent, he still might have never been able to use his left hand again after that.

If you were to pick one song — and only one song — to describe your character, what would it be and why? Going to need more research.

How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral? Somewhere between neutral and negative. Lissa doesn’t think much of himself, but is overall a realist.

Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts? Lissa needs time, sometimes lots of time to make decisions.

Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Lissa has very vivid dreams. The hard part is figuring out what is actually a dream, and what is a vision.

If they had a choice, would they prefer a subway or a bus for public transportation? Subway. Straight to his destination with the least stops possible and in as little time possible.

What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like? His religion is polytheistic, with a pantheon of gods/goddesses. The goddess of healing is also the goddess of creation. I would need to think more about the creation myth though.

Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has. Healing majick, which is a predominantly female trait, wears a feather earring in one ear, doesn’t smile often, is bisexual, doesn’t like meat very much

Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something? Quite often. Lissa has panic attacks in crowded or confined areas.

Are they a team player or do they prefer to be solo? Prefers to be solo or work with Jack

Can they multi-task or must they focus on one subject at a time? Lissa can multitask at certain things, such as when fencing or working as a healer, but overall needs to focus on one thing at a time.

What are their best school subjects? What are their worst? List five of each. Best: healing, fencing, defensive majicks, anatomy, math. Worst: History, wrestling, attack majicks, public speaking

Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people? Introvert, and again: panic attacks.

Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether? Sidelines

If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight? He would try to talk it out first, but when it comes down to it, probably fight.

If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why? The thought would never enter into Lissa’s mind. As a healer, it hurts him to kill people. As a knight, this is a slight problem.

Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why? To not be nervous around people, to help people in need (such as food for poor or something), and to be strong enough that Jack doesn’t feel forced to babysit him anymore.

Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone? It takes a lot of time for Lissa to trust someone.

Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart? Romance, though he gets embarrassed easily.

Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why? No, none.

Do they have any weird bedroom habits? Any unusual kinks? Not at the moment. This may change though.

How does your character prepare for bed? Do they sleep at all or can they stay awake for days on end without trouble? Lissa gets anxious at night so sometimes he has a hard time falling asleep, but he doesn’t function well on very little sleep.

If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be? I love you.

Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets? Lissa is afraid of death, but realistically knows that it’s unavoidable.

Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why? Lissa would be happy being by himself or with just a couple of people 24 hours a day. He finds silence to be very relaxing.
