I never thought about that, that might just change things.

Firstly, it'd matter how old Marshall is. Lawrence would only consider it if Marshall was in his mid thirties at least, and only if Lawrence doesn’t think Marshall is using this as a way to leave.

Lawrence admittedly does like the idea of grandchildren, and since by this point he really does think Marshall is definitely his son in every way, he’d view Marshall’s children as his bloodline being passed down. Of course, he’d love to spoil his grandchildren just as much as Marshall.

Since Lawrence is very wealthy, he’d offer Marshall one of his owned properties, likely a penthouse, only because he has lots of people he knows there that he could pay to spy on him keep tabs on him.

Not that he’d need them, considering he’d be there practically every day. 

Even though he adores Marshall and his grandkids, he would end up causing issues between Marshall and his partner on purpose to get them to divorce or at least split up for a bit, so he could have more time with Marshall and the kids, and then Marshall would need his help to take care of them.

Lawrence "Laurie" Elliot 5'7" 13 years old at the time of Mimi's disappearance. 26 years old at the time of her return.

Laurie is the 2nd oldest sibling in the home and was the closest to Mimi. He tried to help her as best he could in taking care of Edwin and Alfred, but she often refused any help, as she saw it as her responsibility (this attitude was instilled in her by their parents.)

His biggest regret is that he didn't fight to protect his sister. He realized too late that mearly comforting her after a beating wasn't enough. He sees her as his greatest failure and swore after her disappearance that he would take care of their family.

He was the one that initially confronted their parents after Mimi left, he condemned them for being awful parents and said that her blood would be on their hands if something happened to her. (His parents had already come to that realization themselves, but hearing their son say it was the final nail in the coffin.)

He pushed for them all to go to family therapy. Along with private therapy for his parents and Freddy (Edwin refused to go.) He took on caretaker duties for his younger brothers and studied hard to graduate high school at 16. He took accelerated college courses and was able to obtain a masters in Cyber Security by the time he was 20. (He's a smart cookie)

With the networking he did in college, he was able to land a high paying job after graduation. He used this job to buy his family a new home outside the city. This infuriated his younger brother, Edwin, who believed that Mimi might come back looking for them.

Lawrence knows that Mimi is most likely dead, but a small part of him clings to the hope that she is alive. He misses her terribly, even though he may not always show it (he thinks he needs to be strong for the rest of them.)
