You ever revisit an oc you intended to be a next gen character and realize the story you gave them doesn’t actually fit like you wanted and you like them much better as an adult character rather than a child?
Then on top of that you try to change the parental dynamic you set up to a sibling one only now their relationship comes off flirty and it’s weird because it’s not like you don’t know how to write siblings you have two of them and a buttload of younger cousins that see you as a big sibling.
Just turns out when you put some of your trauma and your escapist fantasies on an oc and create a relationship with your favorite character you also happen to self ship with, you run the risk of them coming off as lovers.
Anyways it was an adoption situation so I don’t feel as weird about it but it’s still weird right? Should I just drop the familial ties and rework it that way or should a try to salvage the family thing and tone back the parts of me I put in them?
