I have returned home from Japan! Day 2: Wazuka 和束町 - Obubu おぶぶ tea farm ~ Today was the day I had been looking forward to for a very long time. I finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of visiting a tea farm 🌱 ~ I travelled from Kyoto to Wazuka - a small town devoted to tea - to participate in the @obubuteafarms tea tour (or tea adventure rather!). They took us to the tea fields, showed us around the factory and prepared a selection of teas for us to taste. I had to try hard to suppress the tea nerd in me from exploding! ~ I could really sense the care and passion they put into their work. Rather than using large machinery, they prefer to use less invasive methods, and they put a lot of emphasis on education to inspire the future tea generation. ~ A massive thanks to the @obubuteafarms team.
