Guys I’m running on like 4 hours of sleep but like....
I was thinking about imagery and stuff in Hamilton. I noticed that with the dancing and what Lim has confirmed for the show it got the wheels turning.
In this essay, I will present my findings of dissecting the musical imagery. In which I will closely examine the costumes of the Musucal known as Hamilton. I will be looking at our main character then move on to the other characters. (Burr, Eliza, Ang, Wash, etc.)
I noticed a pattern:
It goes white to brown to blue to no coat, vest to green to black for Hamilton’s costume change. I think the colors represent what’s going on in his life at this moment. I’m sure this has already been done but...
White means introduction. He or she is the one draped in white with a spotlight.
Brown or earthier colors means hard work. He’s working, he’s easily lost in the crowd but he’s on his way up.
Blue represents the official declaration of war against the British.
No jacket represents balance. He’s wearing a white shirt and a black??? vest. (it’s like ying and yang, Hamilton wears a vest for two songs technically)
Green it represents a lot. It represents his ambitions, his dreams, his success and his establishing policies as Treasurey Secretary. It also represents his blindness, his greed and well, his insecurities mostly.
Black represents the changes in his life. He starts wearing black after ‘The Reynold’s Pamphlet’ (I think??? Don’t quote me.) to represent death. Death to his reputation, death of his son and the foreshadowing of his own demise.
Guys this is what happens when you have little to no internet. I would like to thank you all for coming to my ted talk.

'Con observation just like I promised. I'm gonna hold back on this one 'cause I think there's gonna be more to it when the full version comes out.
Just gonna say, though the continuity in this was very smooth and accurate, the events that unfolded still made me...uneasy. It probably has to do with the fact that I'm really soft. I claim to be bi-factional though I'm pretty sure I'm a 'Bot at heart :P
Starscream's behavior (at least until the end) seemed so strange, just glorifying Megatron, begging him to return to his seat of power and his utter disbelief that he'd outright refused. However, the last scene when he returned to Darkmount seemed...sad in a way. The thoughts running through my head at the time really brought it into perspective.
Starscream returns to Darkmount to claim a throne...without anyone to rule. Darkmount has been abandoned for who knows how long, leaving a desolate feeling to it. Empty thrones with empty halls. And empty causes. It makes me wonder if Starscream has always been a power-seeker or if he ever truly felt like he was fighting for a just cause.
Thinking back to 'Deadlock', I had thought that Starscream's adoration for Megatron had been true but now I can't help but feel that he was either deluded or truly submitting to his place as second, if only because it was the highest position he could ever reach. After Megatron relinquished his title, Starscream didn't seem too hesitant to take up the throne. Then again, this might be cleared up more in the full version.
As for Megatron himself, I can't help but feel for the guy (my feels are still sore about this tbh). I mean, he's actually been through this before in a way. The oppression, that is.
Long ago, Megatron was once of the lowest of castes, a mere miner whose fate was to work beneath the surface until he died. Being forced into a position he was told was inescapable. Until the opportunity of rising above was presented to him; become a gladiator. Then others might listen to him and his ideals.
Unfortunately, it seemed the power, the glory of it all, corrupted even him and he followed the same path of his oppressors in a fit of rage and violence which only escalated into his claiming of the Decepticon throne.
But while possessed by Unicron, he was once again reminded of the oppression he once faced so long ago. Only this time, he could not control even his own frame. Here, he is a mere puppet, forced to watch as his body is used to destroy what he once sought to claim. He is driven to the point where he even wishes to end his own life, worse, be trapped in a mangled state where he exists in neither the Pit nor the Allspark. He displays the mark of a desperate mech and for it, he receives acute torment and pain.
Recovering from this is not going to be easy. I really hope they take it up someway in the full version (if not someone write up fanfiction like).
Then there's Shockwave. Simply put, he's run by pure logic (or as pure as possible). So I find it interesting that he didn't turn to the most logical conclusion of just joining the Autobots in the way Knock Out did. Unless he already concluded that the Autobots would never believe him, in which case, yes. Turning to science and slowly rebuilding a Predacon army was the most logical choice. However, he had not accounted for an unexpected variable: the return of Unicron.
So while I could imagine some people complaining about Shockwave's reaction to the resurrection of the Predacons, to me it seems logical. Shockwave had never actually witnessed Terrorcons in person before and certainly not like this. For him, to 'revive' the dead, one must go through the careful process of cloning. This however, seems a true abomination to the science he's dedicated his life to.
I have to wonder what happened to him after everything. They clearly show Starscream getting his beating from the Predacons (though that's no confirmation that he's dead) but Shockwave was nowhere to be found. (My bet is he's still tinkering around his lab, trying to a capture a stray spark...ooh new fic idea~!)
In conclusion, there are still a lot of things that need to cleared up in the full version, including what's going on with Soundwave and Airachnid. I was waiting for Soundwave to show up but he never did :/ I really hope they do a scene with Soundwave and Megatron (Welker will get to talk himself maybe heheh) because it wold reveal a whole lot about Soundwave's history. If they don't include this I will scream to the heavens in agony.
(I said I was gonna hold back, but I didn't hold back, dammit)
Observation: "It's interesting to watch as brands now have this great platform to communicate with their customers. Yet so many just keep shouting content at them without listening or responding. Fewer yet speak to their customers with the creativity that keeps them engaged. It's almost like brands see their social voice only in grayscale while customers + fans of brands are speaking in full color." - Cory
