National Youth Chess Association - Team Championships U12, U14, U18
Richmond NYCA Teams 2022 A date has been set for the postponed National Youth Chess Association jamboree - Saturday, 8 November 2025. The event will take place at Bristol Grammar School, University Road, BRISTOL. BS8 1SR. The format is 3 rounds of play for teams of six, in three age limited sections, U12, U14 and U18. The age limits are set relative to the academic year, meaning that for a player to be eligible, they must have been under that age on 31st August 2025. The rate of play is all moves in 30 minutes with 10 second increment from move 1. All games will be rated for ECF and FIDE rapid rating. Richmond has entered one team in each section - Under 12, 14 and 18. Richmond will take reserves, for whom there is a separate event. Richmond Juniors has a strong record in the National Youth Chess Association (NYCA) Team Championships. Last year, we were Under 12 national champions. We will be hoping to repeat our previous successes this year, with the NYCA Jamboree taking place at Cheney School, Oxford, on Saturday 4th.
