How is the relationship of donnie and splinter ? You said Splinter was very negligent with Donnie, but you don't really said a lot of it so i'm curious

No pressure if you don't have more to say or something thought about it.

Also do they have a fight wen they know about some of the other boys. When i read it i imagined a couple of scenarios and im excited

Donnie already has a complicated and strained relationship with Splinter in the show. It’s just a bit more prominent and tense in my au.

In episodes like The Fast and the Furriest (s1e4), Turtle-dega Nights: The Ballad of Rat Man (s1e22) and Breaking Purple (s2e4) we see this touched on a bit.

Donnie loves Splinter, but still recognizes the fact that he can be neglectful of them and acts in his own self interest. He doesn’t seem to care about Donnie’s things, even when Donnie outright states that they are important to him. However, Donnie still constantly is seeking his approval and even tries to find validation through other adult characters in the show.

In my au, the rift between them is even wider. Donnie had to learn to raise himself, and it wasn’t until he met April that he actually had a meaningful relationship in his life. Splinter can be very neglectful of Donnie, and when he was younger, Donnie placed a large amount of the blame for this on himself. He ends up feeling a bit resentful of Splinter, but also tries constantly to create things that he thinks might catch Splinter’s attention. He just wants to be told he’s doing a good job and that Splinter’s proud of him. He’s got this “I’m not good enough” type of mentality, but April tries her best to tell him otherwise and to show him the support he’s missing out on from Splinter.

Now this isn’t to say that Donnie and Splinter never had their good moments. It’s just that, as Donnie got older and Splinter got more depressed about his mutation, these moments definitely became less and less.

When the other boys move in and Splinter starts giving them the attention that he failed to give Donnie, it definitely leads to some jealousy issues.

It all comes to a head when Donnie hears Splinter tell Raph that he’s proud of him.

They eventually have a one-on-one heart-to-heart about it and sort things out a bit. It’s not perfect, but from then on out Splinter makes a much bigger effort to be a better father to Donnie and to make up for everything.

I’m still working this out a bit but this is what I’m thinking:

Leo is undercover pretending to get along with them for the sake of making sure The Foot Clan succeeds in bringing back the Shredder.

Draxum tells Leo that Hamato Yoshi has the last piece of the armor, and he and the Foot clan order him to retrieve it. He brings it with him before they go on the Mystic Train that is delivering the armor to its final location.

While they are on the train, Splinter goes back to the lair. He ends up finding evidence that Leo has been working for the Foot and goes after the boys.

Meanwhile, the boys get to the room where the armor and Draxum is. Draxum deals with them pretty quick, before letting go of Leo. This is when Splinter shows up and tries to tell him that he doesn’t have to do this. Leo pulls out the teapot and gives it to Draxum, who reveals that Leo was working for the foot all along. ~Drama~

Splinter goes to stop Draxum, but Draxum threatens to hurt the boys so he stops. Leo gets upset when Draxum hurts them and they end up arguing over it because Leo isn’t supposed to care about them anyways. Leo is about to stop Draxum, but hesitates, and instead lets him put on the armor because he knows it will drain Draxum’s life force (smug little bastard).

When Draxum puts on the armor and it doesn’t do that, he has a little “oh shit” moment. The brothers are mad at him, while he’s trying to tell them that this isn’t what was supposed to happen. Draxum attacks, and Leo and Splinter go to set them free.
