do you mollis really think a woman can be actually handsome? sometimes i worry that my body isn’t masculine enough to really look handsome instead of just at most maybe pretty, and that maybe if someone called me handsome it might just be because they know that’s the word i prefer or maybe it’s just like a playful play on words for them instead of actually meaning it
Thank you for sending this ask hon. So I cannot and will not speak for all mollis, as we're no monolith, I can only speak of my thoughts.
In a similar vein, I worry that my body isn't feminine enough/ will never be pretty enough to be considered beautiful and I'll only every be seen as masc and handsome.
I do think that any Virago woman is handsome and while apearance is subjective, it has more to do with your security and confidence in yourself and how you carry yourself.
I bet you feel very masculine on the inside and it’s a vital party of you interpersonal identity and gender expression, changing how one is perceived is no easy task, it will have its challenges
If you do want a change with your outward expression I'd say, find and wear clothes and accessories that you love, maybe a cologne, get a haircut you like, though hair length doesn't define your masculinity. Think about what YOU want. I'd say do what YOU want. Do what makes YOU happy and what makes YOU feel comfortable. Everyone else's opinions don't matter tbh.
You can see how others are styling themselves and you can ask for support and advice on how to present more masc. Try and find people that have your body type/similar apearance and lean into some of those aspects.
You Are Attractive: Remember that someone will find you handsome because of your Virago identity, not despite it; you are not obligated to be "pretty"
I do wish I could speak to you a bit more directly because I'm sure there's more to discuss if I got to know you a bit more, but this is what I could just think of off the top of my head dear.
If any other Virago or Mollis would like to add to this to uplift our Virago anon please feel free!
