The only thing that sponsored this tumlr post is my 12 braincells (and my burning hatred towards the Ctrl+Z/Y shortcuts that massacred this post in the middle of my first attempt at writing it) but I love how much this map viewer improved since the update I had installed previously (0.16.something, at 0.18.something now), it got a lot better at recognizing blocks from older/newer versions and assigning & rendering their color on the map properly!
The foliage in specific biomes is also a lot more distinct and saturated (which is a thing I love to see in this game) and it makes everything look so much more colorful and alive.
And LOL don't get me started on how on the previous version maps of very large scale (and, respectively, very small resolution and expected file size) would take like 20 minutes to generate. But now?
This thing generated multiple large maps of little scale in under 2 minutes. One of them weights 50+ MBs. And its exact resolution is 47112 x 78408. Jesus spinning on a toilet Christ dude.
