he's barely been mentioned lately, I feel like he'd be more present

I'm mostly asking cus i want him to kiss Swan, too. Day, owl, and swan should be throuple ngl. What's better than one dad? THREE!!! Well- that is until shattered finally shows their face

Oh he’s a good dad, a lot of palettes optimism probably comes from Days parenting. Day does front a lot!

Detail.. Dreams eye lights change depending on who’s fronting, whenever Day is there his eyelights are that rounder classic bright yellow! Owl tends to have a dull smaller white/pale yellow, shattered will have only one eyelight on, and swan- yk swan for some reason his likes being bright and colorful.

Oh but yeah you’ll actually see Day being one of the main fronts, Dream really tries to hold onto a positive masking and Day represents that trait well. Day likely is an ex host of the system, Owl just is fronting the most now because they are in their shame and guilt era I guess.

I think the most interesting thing about Day is his self soothing. He functions well with Owl because he manages to get owl out of spirals. Day really is just a lot like classic dream- holding the burden of everything they’ve been through but having to act functional and kind.

He feels just as lost as Owl does, but he knows if he breaks down like that and loses hope they will all fall apart. I guess you could say he’s owls guardian of positivity…❤️

Owl is very,, perplexed by Swan.. Swan likes Owl and Day in his special way. Day would have to mediate between them quite frequently

Idk if there's any other point to this ask other than "please please post about it more", but uh if you were to take a better message out of this then like. Idk, i'd probably like it to be "your story is so cool that even a sliver of it's lore sparks genuine joy despite it being something so.. Small compared to everything else"

this a very sweet message, I’m glad people are interested (very surprisingly). Even if it is one small aspect to a character out of many other complicated characters in a complicated convoluted world I’m always charmed when someone latches onto one little thing.

Dream having DID is just very indulgent for me. It’s also very challenging, I never really talk about my DID and I find it quite humiliating when I do. representing my messy mind through my characters is also shameful to admit and I find it self centered, but i never anticipated positive feedback so I guess it’s softening my feelings

I encourage you to send me specific asks on alters or how the system works if you’re interested and willing to. Just so I don’t babble on about useless things.

I can say something about dreams system though. In my experience alters are kinda just different reactions to things. Just those different reactions are separated through years and years of amnesia developing almost alternative universe esc personality differences between them.

Owl and Swan are the same guy obviously but the driving differential between them is Owl was made to be shameful of himself and Swan was made to be physically strong. Even if those are minor differences- embodying those extreme reactions and dedicating yourself to them for yeearrss really moves personality development in wildly different directions. So much so I think it’s fair to see them as seperate characters?

The also aren’t fully seperate characters as they are inexplicably tied to one another, they have the same childhood and the exact same fears. The same people want to hurt them too. Idk I guess it goes to my personal conclusion that Alters are their own seperate identities and can have individual personhood but their individual personhood doesn’t exist without the rest of the system existing,, making it a unique plural individual identity.. its individual but not in the same way singlets are I guess. I’m just mumbling on now

Oh I’m also excited because I want people to think about the alters interactions with one another. not even just shipping but just be invested in any of the relationships between them. Most DID rep exists for the gaze of singlets, they only show what people see on the outside. But internal relationships, internal family’s, internal conflict,,, now that’s soo interesting.

Yes swan go and snog your repressed atheist version of yourself, I will write a 16 page essay about how this is meaningful representation for internal system communication building 😊.
