He leaned over and my eyes opened at this as he whispered, discernibly, ‘I love you.’

He was everything I imagined and everything I completely hadn’t.

Worst of all, he means the world to me. I think that’s what hurts above all else.

I remember opening my eyes with my head awkwardly resting on his flat chest. There was a silver hazy beam of sunlight spinning in between the branches of tree shading us. My fingers gently stroking his chest, slowly, out of time to the music that loudly whispered to us. I could feel his eyes closed, his fingers gently brushing on my thick denim jacket.

I suppose, truthfully, I miss the idea of him. Not actually him.

I didn’t want this to end, I didn’t want this to end like this.
