Tools needed: • Phillips Screwdriver • butter knife or flathead screwdriver • heavy duty wire cutters (or shitty ones and lot of wire bending patience) • a very sharp knife (I used a scalpel but a box cutter should work) • a soldering iron • electrical tape or glue

1. Unscrew the 6 screws around the handle

2. Pop the airflow ring thing off with a butter knife

3. Pry that puppy apart (here's it exploded all over my desk) make sure to be careful with the copper grounding wire, it'll need to be soldered back to the hose steel later

4. If you're pulling the tubing up because it's got holes like I was, you'll need some elbow grease because the end here is glued to the plastic. Simply pull the wire back while simultaneously cutting at the plastic between the wires until you peel it right off. Make sure to take the copper off the end first because it is somewhat fragile.

5. Screw the fresh length of tubing back on! It took a few tries but if you just twist it on there it'll work eventually. Do this after you've removed the segment that's splitting.

6. The wire of the hose and the grounding wire must be reconnected. This is apparently to prevent static sparks from lighting the lint chamber on fire. So pretty important.

7. I secured my hose back to the plastic with electrical tape, you could use glue or possibly even nothing as it does have quite a strong grip already

8. Screw it and snap it all back together then you're done!
