A Post I wish I had posted many moons ago. Swipe Left and Read the caption! Don't forget to like and save to support your gal! ⬇️ "3 Things I knew About Breastfeeding" is part of a collaboration ♥️ I'll tag the moms below. But first Let me Address : 1) 🌌Breastfeeding Is never a destination. You may plan it differently but the journey will change you and the experiences will shape your thoughts. There will be ups and downs, pain and joy. It is a journey you embark on and have to stick to If you plan it long term. Whether short or long, it should never be focussed on as a destination. You may choose to stop if you cannot for mental wellbeing 2) 🌌Nothing to be ashamed of: After having babies I was always afraid to accept invitations or go out with a baby as I would have to Breastfeed them. As you know in A first world country like Canada, not every mall or gatherings have that comfort and space for a mother to nurse her child. But when it is done in public she is shamed and blamed. When we traveled with my second child I let all that shame go and bought myself a Nursing cover and nursed my baby everywhere on demand. In the plane, in a crowded mall, on top of a mountain in Malaysia. ♥️🙏 It's my child's right and it is our God given miracle. Nothing to be ashamed of. 3) 🌌Breastfeeding is a learning process: It's hard and definitely not something we wake up knowing how to Master. With the help of nurses and Breastfeeding experts you are able to learn what position suits your baby and how to increase your flow, how to ease the pain of engorged breasts etc how to avoid discomfort and burnout etc. Lactation consultants are available in every hospital and birth centres. ❤️Thank you for reading❤️ Check out what these moms have to say! @shazairshad @themumsclubpk @mychildren.myjannah @heavanlykai . . . #breastfeedingweek #nursingmamas #muslimmamas (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CTATOH1gUDU/?utm_medium=tumblr
