What are your favorite things about the ship?: Sheesh, I gotta go get a shovel to dig this one up. (You hear a loud THUNK as the shovel hits this.) There was probably something about my lack of self awareness and an inability to imprint on a healthy relationship there, too; I was way more comfortable with cases of mistaken identity than with admitting I wanted people to be attracted to one another. That got better as I wrote more domestic AU stuff.   Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?: I have no earthly idea what this ship looked like from the outside.

For my first Making project I wanted to make an offline banner for my Twitch channel. When you got to a Twitch channel (Twitch is a livestreaming website primarily focused on videogames) and your channel is not hosting another channel by default it displays a blank screen and a link to your most recent video. This isn’t the most appealing welcome to someone visiting my channel (just like poor Null State designs can negatively impact apps or other services like we discussed in class) so I wanted to try and create something a little bit better. After thinking through a few designs and considering the branding for my channel (my avatar is a windmill holding a mic, it makes more sense if you look at it xD) I decided an empty, dim stage would be an appropriate away sign. So I did my best to try and capture the design in my head using illustrator and while its not quite there, I’m happy with it as a start. Definitely think its an improvement over before!
