this episode is such a perfect example of how Robby is. throughout the episode he is seemingly careless (hopeless and helpless are better words) about the prisoner patient, focused on freeing more room. growing a little snappier, getting a little more fed up.
and we end the episode, and there's a room full of people who saw louie all the time, who cared about him, and one person knew him. robby who noticed, who listened, who carried Louie's tragedy with him. who remembers his patients and their stories.
robby with his voice cracking and his eyes watering because he remembers too much. because he cares too much. robby who tries not to care because when he does it's almost impossible to handle. robby does not have an empathy deficiency, quite the opposite, which is why he tries to overcorrect.
