Check… Check... And we are live! 40Mbps internets in the camp, so you could say we are all set. So for all those who come here fist time, here’s a bunch of need to know before you come.

Stuff to take

Well, this is an open air festival, so take everything you would bring to any music festival. Also a good idea is to bring your laptop and any cool gadgets you have - I’m sure you will make a use of those. Here’s a short list for your convenience:

Tent, sleeping bag and other stuff of comfortable camping

Your laptop and gadgets

Extension cord

Router or any networking equipment if you feel you will need that (e.g. for LAN party)

Food for yourself and new friends

Water and drinks

Trash bags

Comfortable clothes

Bug repellent

Games if you have any

And of course, all the swag you can get ;)

Geting to the camp

NTA happens at camp Pusiasalis. The exact coordinates are: 54.657602, 24.984814

And these are your options to get there.

Just drive

Get your gang together and have a nice quick road trip over here. Also if you have spare seat in your car, don’t forget to check if you can take someone with you in Facebook event.

Remember you have to drive towards Trakai, then turn to Varnikėliai and on Rubežus take a stony road to Padumblė.

From there you will see our awesome NTA road signs. Once you reach the parking lot, you should leave your car there and continue to the camp on foot.

Note: if you need to bring heavy stuff to the camp, reach the Infodesk first and they will give you an access key to drive into the camp.

Green options

Bike or hike are always the best options.

You can get to Trakai via train and ride from there. Or if you are up for a challenge you may take a longer trip from Vilnius.

Agenda

Here is a rough schedule, what will happen at the camp:

Thursday Early birds are gathering on Thursday ;) You have entire day to chill at this wonderful lakeside. Godzilla and popcorns! Movie night in the evening. The first registrations are starting in the evening.

Friday Everyone comes and settles today! The official opening of NTA2018 will happen 17:00 First talks at stages start 17:30 We will have some performances and music concert starting 21:00

Saturday NTA goes hot. Talks and workshops starts 10:00 at all NTA stages.

Sunday Talks of those who couldn’t participate on Saturday. Workshops, panels and crafts continue. The major chillout!

Food

The entire point of the event is friendly camp, therefore everyone brings their own eats. And don’t forget that sharing is caring so we encourage to bring food to share with others and make new friends while grabbing a snack :)We will have a massive food court with public grills, so if you eager to have some sexy BBQ, bring your meats here. And grab all your grilling stuff as well if you have any.

Also there will be some public coffee/tea and some food on Friday evening and Saturday. The Avocado noodle bar will prepare us some delicious Wok and Tom Yum soup.

As we do not have office administrator sitting by the door, we built a Welcome bot - a bot which recognizes and welcomes us by scanning our faces while entering the office. He greets us in a chosen voice so basically you can be welcomed by Darth Vader now :)

Tell us what fascinated you the most at NTA

We are loyal attendees and have enjoyed too many things to list in a brief sentence. However, we do believe in knowledge sharing and see the camp as an inspiring environment where people inspire and learn from others. Not to mention how nice it is to continue discussions at bonfires, listening to live guitar melodies.

So, what you are up to?

We call ourselves a research and product development company. We’re a rapidly growing team working on e-commerce and e-signing and e-identification solutions. For a while now, we’ve been living with two core projects: 8 years with Boozt — a leading and fast-growing Nordic technology platform selling fashion and beauty online — and 5 years with Dokobit, formerly ISIGN — the biggest electronic signature solutions provider in the Baltics. Never settling for less, we unite professionals who are eager to take responsibility, make great products and do other awesome things outside of work.

What is so crazy about your company?

Every company has its own craziness, so it really depends on how you look at it. For us, there are several crazy things. 1. We are committed to what we do 110%, both in work and in life. This makes us crazy because we don’t usually use our brakes to stop until we’re content with the result. When we’re onto something, we’re unstoppable. 2. We are a super social company (surprise suprise, we’re not 100% regular IT geeks locked in a basement :) ) resulting in many kicked off initiatives and communities: Symfony meetups and workshops, Vilnius PHP meetups and of course No Trolls Allowed. Apparently, when striving for 110% you can do a lot of cool stuff :)

We don’t measure things in years, we measure the big picture. So our greatest hacking experience of all time is definitely No Trolls Allowed! Estina was the place where it all began. We somehow hacked our company’s supposedly small team-building into this huge hacker camp with 400+ people, all Lithuania’s geeks dream to attend. No Trolls Allowed to this day is like Christmas to us that we impatiently look for like a child looks for a Christmas morning to open the presents.

What is it about NTA camp that drives you to be our sponsor?

Everything! We’ve sold our souls to No Trolls Allowed and we’re not gonna hide it :) You know that feeling when you really really don’t want something to end cuz it usually means you have to get back to reality? Well, this is how we feel about No Trolls Allowed. Each year, seconds after we open our eyes in the morning after the last day of the event, the first thing that comes to our minds is “This was awesome, let’s do it again!”. And then we live in a deep deep pain for the rest of the year till next event comes! It’s such a pain in a neck to be addicted to something :(

Tell us what fascinated you the most at NTA

Each year we are amazed by the vibe of the event. Each year we go through this experience like it’s the very first time. Being a company that values people and team spirit, we are fascinated by the participants and content at the event. It’s an amazing feeling to meet so many people with different backgrounds and to see how all of them unite just for this four-day event, forgetting all the possible boundaries that may exist in real life, outside of this magical camp. And this makes it even more interesting to participate in such a variety of presentations and workshops, the existance of which might not even cross your mind! From tech soldering, LEGO robots, board games to singing next to the fire. At No Trolls Allowed, the sky is the limit. It’s incredible how small things can create a life-changing experience.
