My First Creative Space In NY When I relocated to NY I had no idea I'd be married soon after I got here but that did happen soooo...my husband watched sooo much sports I wanted to scream and was fussin daily. What really needed to happen was I needed to find me some business in my own space and not all up in his face. He was looking like what is wrong with the crazy bored lady lol. The kids were grown and in Saint Louis. I was in NY and absolutely away from my home with none of my creative comforts, and having to start over, be a mom from a distance and spanking brand new grandma of the coolest smartest wittiest grandson ever from a distance...and new wife to a hott husband that watched sports daily after work. I needed a "she space" I couldn't have a she shed or studio space so this had to do. I took the spot by the door to the exit of our basement apartment (our 1st apartment.) I was excited. My first lil artist corner in NY and all mine to work and not trip off hubby and sports and adjusting to NY etc. Lesson...no matter how small, make a place where you live that speaks to you and your loves, ignore your hubby and stinking sports lol. Now he has to come in the nail salon(in the apartment) to see what I am doing...hahaaa! From a basement to a whole furnished salon in our apartment but it is tho. But God.
