I have a lot of decorative snap clips, and used to get frustrated when I tried to do stuff with them because it's easy for them to catch a bit of hair and refuse to let go and then when I tried to undo stuff it'd rip and ugh just ugh.
The only bobby pins I had were the decorative ones with little flowers or frogs on the end and I never used them because I'd only noticed people use hair-clips to keep their bangs back, or for accents near the front, and I didn't know how to make the decorative bobby pins NOT fall out and now I'm just like...
WHY DID NO ONE GET ME PLAIN ONES AND SHOW MY HOW THEY WORKED OMFG.
When I had long hair in high school, I'd pull it into a single braid and stick it in a bun with hairsticks or pencils.
/googles "spin pins"/ I HAVE NEVER SEEN THOSE BEFORE HOW DO THEY WORK IS IT WITCHCRAFT.
