You're telling me Nova told Adrian her superpower was that she could stay awake and that her trauma kept her from sleeping and he went and made her noise-cancelling earphones and recreated something from her imagination just so she could have one night of sleep with good dreams? And then Nova thinks the real reason she was able to sleep was that she slept in Adrian's arms? And I'm supposed to just function after that? He did the literal impossible with his magic and she was still sure that the real magic was just love.

can someone scream with me how beautiful the moment with nova and adrian was in the last scene of archenemies? because i have seen no one talk about it, and it may be my favorite scene with them (besides them falling asleep together, her falling asleep to his heartbeat, the betrayal(s), the “it was real” scene, nova teaching adrian to shoot and him getting distracted by her, adrian healing her wounds, the “maybe i want you to be mine” scene, and, finally, both scenes where they kiss). can you tell how much i am obsessed with them? it’s just so beautiful that she, his enemy (even if he does know that he is promising “to rip her [nightmare] apart” and nightmare is nova) was the first person that he went to. that the first person he went to was nova. god, they are fucking gorgeous and the scene was fucking perfection. back to my point, i love how they are both positioned, with him sitting and leaning his head into her stomach, and then his hands gripping her waist so hard that her shirt bunches. the way that it is described from nova’s point of view is so fucking beautiful, “adrian extended his arms and nova couldn’t resist the pull of them.” as if he is her gravity. and for adrian, nova is someone who grounds him. when he is in so much pain from max almost dying, he turns to nova, “she went to him and he wrapped his arms around her waist, burying his face into her stomach.”
